PRODUCT & 3D PRINT/ BRAND DEVELOPMENT

STUDIO OKGO designed and developed a welcome kit for new employees across all affiliates of HD Hyundai. To reflect the brand’s vision and identity as a global leader in shipbuilding, energy, and industrial machinery, the kit drew inspiration from the cubic and void architectural language of HD Hyundai’s headquarters and was constructed as a modular steel system. The kit transforms into multiple functional forms a toolbox, tray, and pegboard providing both utility and long-term durability. Its precisely divided interior ensures secure storage of essentials, while its clean, adaptable design allows it to be reused as a desk object, seamlessly integrating the HD Hyundai brand experience into daily work life.

스튜디오 오케이고는 HD현대 모든 계열사 신규입사자를 위한 웰컴키트를 디자인하고 제작했습니다. 조선, 에너지, 산업기계 분야에서 글로벌 리더로서의 브랜드 비전과 정체성을 담아 HD현대 본사의 입체적이고 비움이 있는 건축 구조에서 영감을 얻었으며 스틸 소재의 모듈형 시스템으로 구현했습니다. 이 키트는 툴박스, 트레이, 페그보드 등 다양한 형태로 변형이 가능해 실용성과 내구성을 모두 갖추고 있습니다. 내부는 정교하게 구획되어 있어 안전한 수납이 가능하며 사무 공간에서 오브제처럼 재활용될 수 있는 구조로 디자인되어 일상 속에서도 HD현대의 브랜드 경험을 자연스럽게 이어갈 수 있도록 했습니다.

세상에 없던 웰컴킷을 만들어보자고 마음먹었다. 처음 떠오른 재질은 메탈. 환영 인사 한마디로 끝나고 잊혀지는 게 아니라, 오래 남아서 내 책상 한 켠을 채우고, 매일 같이 쓰이면서도 그날을 떠올리게 하는 물건이면 좋겠다. 그게 회사가 신입사원에게 건네는 인사라면, 조금은 다를 수 있지 않을까. 그렇게 이번 프로젝트가 시작됐다.

단순한 기념품을 넘어 이 웰컴키트는 신입사원과 HD현대의 핵심 가치 사이를 잇는 상징적인 다리 역할을 합니다.

This project was brought to life in collaboration with RARERAW, a lifestyle brand specializing in steel-based design, ensuring that the final product faithfully embodies HD Hyundai’s structural aesthetics and functional precision.
